Grow your own ant colony in this Idle Incremental Clicker game! Harvest food with Gatherer Ants, generate Sci-ants points with Sciantists, and defend your colony from random enemies with Army Ants! Purchase a variety of ant types to help with production, and buy upgrades to improve certain ant types further! Remember-- THE COLONY MUST GROW! 

This game was made in 3 days for the GMTK Game Jam 2024.  NOTE: The game does not save, so be careful!

INSTRUCTIONS

- Click using your MOUSE or SPACEBAR on your keyboard!

- Click the categories on the top left to change your active Ant Category! Click the Red buttons to purchase ants!

- Click the Upgrades category to purchase Ant Upgrades! Click the Red buttons to purchase upgrades!

- Click the Anthill on the right to generate food manually!

FEATURES

  • Food Production, Sci-ants points production, and Nibbles for attack power!
Gatherer Ants are the lifeblood of your colony. They will provide you with FOOD over time. You may also click the Anthill on the right to generate food, but your Gatherer ants will do it for you automatically! Food can be used to buy any of the 3 ant types, so make sure to have as much as you can!
Sciantists will be what drives the forward progress of your colony. They will provide you with SCI-ANTS over time. Sci-ants can be used to purchase upgrades that will appear as you obtain more ant types. These upgrades will improve the power of each ant type you have!
Army Ants are what will protect your colony from invading enemies! Their power is measured in NIBBLES PER SECOND. Different enemy types will spawn over time to attack your colony, and it is up to your Army Ants to defeat them! Once defeated, enemies will also drop food, with harder enemies dropping more food!

I played this for way longer than I'll admit '^^
It starts out slow but clicking is somewhat rewarding enough to keep the dopamin level high. For me, the scienants upgrade prices got somewhere way too ridicilous.

Liked it overall. =)
(I didn't get why I should buy soldiers at first)

There's a limit to the number of upgrades that can be in the upgrade tab even after scrolling down. It makes it so if you buy some units, their upgrades show up and take the click upgrades off the tab so you can't upgrade it even if it costs a lot less.
